Carl Swift, Adam Shepherd and Endaf Owens were the main protagonists as far as the hunt for the class B championship was concerned, while in class A, Andrew Hough, Mark Anderson, David Buky and Tim Evans all had a chance of taking the crown at Donington
In qualifying, it was Carl Swift who placed his Owens Motorsport car on pole position, with title rival Adam Shepherd starting alongside him in second place. Both drivers set blistering lap times, and were over a second quicker to the man who would start third, Rodren Vella
. As for the class A cars, David Buky set the benchmark of 1:52.81, putting him 11th on the starting grid, followed by Chris Coomer and Andrew Hough in 13th and 15th respectively.
